Designation of Origin
Oli de Mallorca
Extra Virgin olive oil with Designation of Origin, made on the island of Mallorca with the Mallorquina, Arbequina and Picual olive varieties. Depending on the ripeness of the olives when they are picked two different types of oil can be identified: a fruity type and a sweeter type. The fruity type is made from olives picked early on in the harvest season ; the sweeter type is made from riper olives and is characterised by its golden yellow colour, sweet taste and sharp sensation.
Mallorcan Olive
The protected designation of origin ‘Aceituna de Mallorca’/‘Aceituna Mallorquina’/‘Oliva de Mallorca’/‘Oliva Mallorquina’ covers three variants: green, bruised green and natural black. These are table olives of the indigenous Majorcan variety, partially fermented in brine. Furthermore, the bruised green olive is flavoured with fennel and chilli pepper and the natural black olive is flavoured with Majorcan oil (‘Aceite de Mallorca’).
Mallorcan paprika
Mallorcan paprika is a spice obtained by grinding peppers of the native tap de cortí variety of the Capsicum Annumm L. species produced on the island of Mallorca, once dried and ground at the processing plants located exclusively on the aforementioned island.
Protected Geographical Indication
Mallorcan Sobrasada
A sausage with a Protected Geographical Indication. This cured meat product is made from select minced pork, seasoned with paprika, salt and spices. It is stuffed into intestines and cured slowly and carefully using the experience that is passed on from generation to generation. The taste is mild and pleasant and the spices are present in the aftertaste.
Mallorcan Ensaïmada
A product with a Protected Geographical Indication, defined by Josep Pla as the "lightest, airiest and most delicate thing in this country's confectionary". Its unique spiral shape distinguishes it from any other cake. It comes in different sizes and can be unfilled or have a pumpkin jam filling.
Mallorcan Almonds
"Almond from Mallorca", "Mallorcan Almond", "Ametlla from Mallorca" or "Mallorcan Ametlla" are the names by which the fruit of the almond tree (Prunus amygdalus), traditional on the island of Mallorca, is known and which is cultivated for human consumption and eaten raw or toasted, peeled or unpeeled.

Palo de Mallorca
A liqueur with a geographical indication, that is dark in colour, with a high density and a characteristic aroma. It is made on the island of Mallorca since the mid-19th century. Palo de Mallorca is obtained from the hydroalcoholic maceration of cinchona bark and gentian with the addition of caramelised sugar.
Herbes de Mallorca
An aniseed flavoured liqueur with a geographical indication, obtained from the maceration and/or hydroalcoholic distillation of aromatic plants from the island of Majorca. There are three types: sweet, semi-sweet and dry.
Wine Designation of Origin
Binissalem
Outstanding, distinguished red, rosé, white and sparklingly wines with designation of origin. They are mainly produced using grapes from the local Manto Negro and Moll varieties. The red wines have a high alcohol content and strong personality, and they are full-bodied, well-balanced and suitable for aging. The white wines are exceptional, delicate and fruity.
Pla i Llevant
Red, rosé, white, sparkling, semi-sparkling and liqueur wines with a designation of origin and excellent reputation. The wines are made from the following varieties of red grape : Callet, Fogoneu, Ull de llebre, Manto Negro, Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Gorgollassa and Pinot Noir; and the following white varieties: Chardonnay, Moll, Macabeo, Parellada, Moscatell, Giró Ros, Viognier and Riesling.
