Aligned with the 17 SDGs
The III edition of the Sustainable Destinations Summit, organised by the Fundaciò Mallorca Turisme and UN Tourism, and in collaboration with the Consell de Mallorca and the Observatory of Sustainable Tourism, has committed to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals established by the UN.
Biosphere Sustainable Lifestyle is an internationally recognised sustainability certification. It helps companies, organisations and events to define and make visible their responsible objectives and priorities. It coordinates the efforts made for each Sustainable Development Goal and UN targets. It has positioned itself as a system in which good practices are highlighted.
The Summit will be audited and certified by Biosphere, endorsed by the entity itself, and thanks to its sustainable roadmap with the island of Mallorca.
Carbon neutral
The Carbon Footprint generated at the III Sustainable Destinations Summit will be measured, including the transport to the island of all attendees, the transfer between accommodation/ and the energy consumption produced during the event. A real-time reporting methodology will be used.
The aim of the Summit is to work on an offsetting programme that goes beyond, on the one hand, planting native species in natural environments and, on the other hand, to carry out collaborative activities by supplying SAF fuel to airlines that have Mallorca as their destination.
